Rolex launched the Oyster Perpetual Explorer in 1953 to celebrate the successful summit of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay (who were naturally wearing Rolex watches). In later expeditions, Rolex was always the official supporter, equipping climbers with their own Explorers, cementing the history of the Rolex Explorer as the watch of choice for mountain climbers and other adventurers. This iconic watch is still in production, and just as popular as ever. Rolex recently updated the wristwatch to include a more substantial 39mm case, and the updated Oysterlock band and clasp. This watch comes with its original box, booklets, and our one year warranty.
